Water: your best friend to improve well-being and keep fit

Water is the source of all life on earth.

Since ancient times, it has also been associated with health and physical well-being.

Beyond hygiene, man very quickly understood the benefits of water to maintain his shape, multiplying the facilities and equipment allowing him to make the most of it.

In ancient Egypt, man took advantage of the benefits of hot springs located in oases, such as the waters of the Red Sea and the baths of Cleopatra have remained synonymous with refinement and well-being.

The Greeks, the Nabataeans, the Romans ... all Mediterranean civilizations competed in ingenuity to supply cities with water and develop increasingly sophisticated baths.

Thus, Petra, capital of the Nabataeans, had developed a rainwater collection network supplying more than 200 cisterns. Several collective bath facilities have been discovered including one of more than 200sqm, proving that even in a desert area, the benefits of water were not forgotten.

Nowadays, thermal baths, thalassotherapy complexes and aquatic centers perpetuate this tradition, offering their users programs combining sport, well-being and health.
